Environment quality

Measurement activities and interpretation related to environment quality are the mainstay of our company: we achieve advanced services for contents and applications regarding outdoor environment quality, applying all parameters necessary to work under standard regulations and laws.


The main services offered are:

  • Monitoring with mobile stations complete with all parameters required by Italian law L.D. 24/12/2012 n. 250;
  • Evaluation services of the main pollutants present according to guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO);
  • Electromagnetic field and noise mapping activities;
  • Evaluation Indoor Air pollution of life ambient to identify and try to find a solution to any possible toxic source.

 

Air Quality

MIT Ambiente supports companies in all needs to achieve monitoring and control plans, in particular the following services:

  • Monitoring with mobile stations complete with parameters required by law (SPM, PM10, PM2,5, CO, NO/NO2/NOx, O3, PAH, heavy metals, benzene, H2S, CH4, nMHC and odour compounds;
  • Implementation of monitoring plans, intended to fulfil large jobs with the transfer of real-time data through web platforms to the company;
  • Quality control of existing measurement stations with a wide range of primary equipment, reference materials and standard procedures.

Weather Studies

In this field, MIT AMBIENTE offers many years of experience in the monitoring and installation of measure stations following the World meterological organization standards. The service ranges from the installation of measure stations with remote data control to the fine tuning of systems for the correct control of meterologic data.

Evaluation of orders and odorous compounds

The managing and evaluation of emissions of odor inducing substances remains one of the most complicated sections in the relation between those who work and manage plants that induce odors and the surrounding resident population.

Our specialized services permit us to characterize odorous emissions in both terms of odor concentration and in terms of concentration of chemical substances. In particular, through olfactometric analysis (UNI EN 13725:2004) and analysis using mass spectrometer gas chromatography (GC-MS)

MIT AMBIENTE is also capable of defining the dispersion of odors through the use of mathematical models.

Electromagnetic fields high and low frequency

We perform instrumental measurements to assess the risk of works exposed to electromagnetic fields induced by machines in the company, in conformity with Titolo VIII, Capo IV, of D.Lgs. 09 Aprile 2008, n. 81 e s.m.i.

  • Low frequence measurements (50Hz) of electric fields and magnetic induction generated by electrodes and substations
  • Electric field measurements generated by radio-telecommunication plants. (radio stations based on telephone/radio/TV etc)

Environmental noise and sound impact

Our experienced technicians have gained the skills necessary that allow us to offer monitoring and consulting services in both environmental aspects and industrial safety and hygiene. In particular:

  • The evaluation of environmental noise and sound impact produced by different kinds of sources;
  • Acoustic modelling and consulting for remediation and destruction of noise
  • The determination of a building’s passive sound requirements.

Asbestos risk

MIT Ambiente has the resources and skills necessary to evaluate asbestos exposure and this mineral content in various environmental molds. In particular:

  • Evaluation of asbestos risk in the workplace as defined in L.D. 81/2008;
  • Determination of asbestos in air, solid and liquid materials, under methods required by L.D. 09/09/1994
  • Testing of the conservation status of coverings and objects made with asbestos for the verification of asbestos’s risk.
